Kayla in Kalos- Ch 1

Chapter One
"First Steps"

Skyla lands the plane on the Kalos Region, making sure it comes to full and complete stop. Kayla, was already awake, with Chikorita inside her Pokeball. She thanks Skyla for the ride and hugs. "No problem! Wish you luck!" says Skyla to Kayla. Kayla walks out of the plane and waves, as Skyla takes off to Unova.

Kayla is now in Vaniville Town, the small town is full of homes and beautiful flowers. She looks around, it slightly reminds her of New Bark Town, back in Johto. She looks around, then a young boy bumps into her. The boy yelled at her, telling her to move out of the way as he caught up with his three friends. She sighs as she watches them enter through the large double doors. Kayla finds a bench, and takes a seat.

Kayla enters a deep thought, of the true reason why she came to Kalos. Of course, she wants to meet new people and Pokemon and learn more about Dragons, but theirs just something that she does not know about. Back in Unova, she was one of the happiest, most cheerful girls around. Until things slowly fell apart, her ex-boyfriend, Ethan, began to date Lyra, and Whitney barely speaks to her. Her and Kayla have a friendship going for years, and it felt like the end was near.

Kayla stands up, sending out her Chikorita. Chikorita is still resting, so she holds the green Pokemon close to her, humming to her as she goes through the large double doors. Entering the short Route 1, or Vaniville Pathway, its full of trees and bushes. For a small route, its very nice.

Ahead is an archway to Aquacorde Town. A relevently small town, with two shops. To the left side, is that boy who bumped into her earlier, she ignores and walks forward. Suddenly, she gets stopped by a girl in a pink top and blue short shorts. "You! Stop right there!" The shouting causes Chikorita to wake up, and sob. Kayla pets Chikorita and sighs, "You woke up Chikorita...she was having a peaceful slumber." The girl pulls out a Pokeball, demanding for her first battle. Kayla, is not sure, she only has Chikorita and the rest are at home. Kayla, accepts the challenge.

Taking their positions, Kayla has Chikorita already outside her pokeball, she sets her down on the ground. Shauna throws her pokeball, sending out her newly owned Chespin to the battlefield. Shauna grants Kayla first move, assuming she is a noob trainer off the street. "Chikorita, Tackle!" Kayla says, Chikorita charges Chespin and lands the attack. Chespin gets send back at Shauna, knocking her over and Chespin faints. Everyone looks at Shauna, then at Kayla picking up Chikorita. "I've never seen a Chikorita that powerful before! Who are you?" Calem asks Kayla. Kayla only nods and replies "Soon, you will find out who I am." Kayla walks over to Tierno, "Excuse me, do I get a starter since I am new to this region?" She asks him politely. Tierno looks at her, strangely, and replies. "I wish I could, but unfortunately, I gave the three I had out already."

Kayla nods again, then turns around. Seeing that Shauna is coming to, she walks to her. "Sorry about that, I hope you are okay." she says. "You cheater! You aren't even that good, you got lucky!" Shauna replies, getting in Kayla's face. Serena gets Shauna away from Kayla. Kayla starts to walk away, with her head down. She didn't get the best of welcomes, so it was best for is  own safety to walk away. Everyone looks at her, then at Tierno, who got a nosebleed. "What? Shes hot and gorgeous!" he says.

Kayla is on Route 2, in the woods. She selected to camp outside and be alone. In the back of her mind, she isn't sure if those five trainers are after her. With Chikorita safely in her Pokeball, she uses the light of the fire for protection. "I didn't mean to cause trouble here, and I already did. I was hoping to travel with one of them, doesn't look it now. Now I have a rival, but she might be as bad as Samantha was to me in Unova, years ago." Suddenly, she hears a rustling in the bushes. She gets the nearest stick as a weapon and looks at the rustling. She waits, not knowing if its a Pokemon or a Trainer that is lost. Still, she doesn't know. The shadow comes out, the person takes their hood off.

"Who are you!?"

"Kayla, its me!"

"I recognize that voice. Are you from Virbank?"

"Bingo!"

"Billy Jo, if I'm not mistaken?"

"You got it!"

Billy Jo sits next to Kayla, putting the stick down. "So what brings you here?" Kayla asks. "Well, we don't have any challengers in the Virbank Gym, and we aren't on tour for a while, so why not travel with you!" she replies, handing her a present. Kayla opens it, its a Pokeball. She opens it, and comes out a Fennekin. "I figure you would like this Kalos starter!" She tells Kayla. Kayla gets really happy and hugs them both. "Sure! We can travel together!" Soon, the fire dies out and both girls head to sleep.
